Lodging

If you are a Regional Teaching Academy Fellow, lodging expenses for the dates of the biennial conference will be reimbursed up to $179 per night. Please note that the Academy will reimburse lodging costs and taxes for each Fellow for ONLY the 4 nights of the biennial conference. Any additional nights and other college-sponsored guests will need to cover their own travel expenses, with the exception of pre-conference workshop participants who are fellows.

If your travel as an RTA fellow requires an additional night of lodging in Pullman, please contact Dr. Rachel Halsey to inquire whether you might be eligible for additional reimbursement.

The discounted room rate will end on May 23. All reservations made after this time will be subject to availability and the regular rate.

The room rate is $229 (plus taxes) for Friday, June 20 & Saturday, June 21. Sunday, June 22 – Thursday, June 26, the rate is  $179.00(plus taxes)

Parking for the Conference

Parking for the conference will be in Green 1 (see parking map). Green 3 for Pre-Conference. Daily Visitor Permits are required Monday through Friday ($10.12 per day) from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Pay Options: Visitor parking permits can be purchased at the Brelsford WSU Visitor Center (150 E Spring St) during business hours (8 AM – 5 PM, M-F).

Online: Daily permits can be purchased the same day online at parking.wsu.edu by selecting “Order Permits.” 

Many parking lots do not require a daily permit after 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, or on weekends.

Travel Reimbursement

The Teaching Academy will cover registration fees for the Biennial Conference for RTA Fellows, $250. Participants who are not fellows are welcome and encouraged to attend the conference, but will be subject to the registration fee of $250 (local participants will be charged a registration fee of $125).  If a non-fellow participates in the VETS pre-conference workshop, they will receive a $100 discount on the conference registration.  

 

Additional attendees are encouraged to register for the conference. (The Teaching Academy will not reimburse any travel expenses for other participants.)
