The Teaching Academy members have the opportunity to serve in a variety of capacities on established and ad hoc committees. Below are links to more information about the specific groups.
Each committee shall be led by a chair (or co-chairs), who shall oversee activities, prepare annual activity reports for the Steering Committee, academy membership, and the Consortium; and maintain fiscal responsibility for working group/committee activities. A working group liaison may serve as chair, or the chair may be selected from the group membership.
“Teaching is more than talking to students and listening to them. Teaching is a process of design, interaction, evaluation, and redesign. Put those two together and you will have a scholarship of teaching …” Lee Shulman, Ph.D., President, Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching (Academic Psychiatry, 31:6, Nov-Dec 2007)
